Expanding the Horizon Ecosystem

Our mission at Horizon is to partner with national theological organizations to equip ministry leaders for global service through online learning and digital resource development, tailored to their own language and culture. To help us fulfill that mission, we are expanding our Horizon ecosystem (graphic above):
- For many years, we have hosted and managed a Learning Management System (LMS) called Moodle for our partners. This software is used to administer and deliver online educational courses and training programs.
- Several years ago, we introduced a plagiarism detection tool that professors can use to check student work against databases of existing texts for unoriginal writing. Recently, the developers of the tool added the detection of AI-generated content, identifying the unauthorized use of artificial intelligence.
- We have started development of an affordable, multilingual Student Information System (SIS), a software platform to integrate with our LMS to help our partners manage, track, and store all data related to students, such as final grades and contact information. It is currently in the testing phase.
- The last item we will offer in our expanded ecosystem is a digital library of theological books and articles, featuring built-in translation, at an affordable price.
