Giving FAQs
Online donations can be made using your credit card and completing the donation form.
Horizon's donation processor charges a fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 for each transaction. Thus for a $10 donation, they charge a fee of $0.59 and Horizon receives $9.41. For a $100 donation, the fee is $3.20 and Horizon receives $96.80. If you wish, you may offset the cost of the fee by increasing your donation by an appropriate amount. Alternatively, you may wish to mail a check.
Horizon does not currently accept donations by phone.

Yes, Horizon issues receipts for one-time gifts upon receiving a gift and at the beginning of the year for recurring donations received in the previous year. Receipts are available by postal mail and email.
Yes, usually. Horizon is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity; therefore, your contribution may be tax-deductible. Please check with your tax advisor to find out more.
Horizon Education Network is an approved project of ABWE Canada. You can give by cheque, by credit card, or by bank withdrawal through ABWE Canada. To be eligible for a Canadian charitable donation receipt, see the ABWE Canada website.
Donations for the support of missionaries serving at Horizon must be made directly to their sponsoring agency. Please contact your missionary for more information.
Horizon is funded by donations from churches, businesses, and individuals; by grants from foundations; and, by fees from education partners. Personnel are seconded to Horizon by partnering agencies.
Donations are used to support the operations of Horizon Education Network in accordance to the wishes of the donor and at the discretion of Horizon’s Board of Directors.
